Boston Organics, an organic delivery service in our area, is making this blogpost easy and quick, which is all I can manage right now seeing as I brought a new baby into the world last Monday! New baby boy requires a lot of attention but I still want to plan some fun things for my 18-month-old daughter.

One activity I thought might be fun for her is apple picking. Being the pesticide avoider that I am, I have been contemplating looking into organic orchards. Apples are one of the dirtiest of the dirty dozen and it’s a little off-putting to think of my toddler handling a bunch of heavily sprayed produce, let alone eating the spoils of her efforts!
I finally got around to googling organic apple picking in the Boston area. The Boston Organics site popped up at the top of my search results. The closest orchard to Boston is about a 45 minute drive.
Of course this isn’t too helpful to people who live elsewhere, but a quick google search would hopefully reveal your local organic orchards.
