I recently blogged about my cool app design project –here is a little sidenote on that project. Did you know that people do ‘book sprints’ and write books in a matter of days? And work together remotely from different parts of the world to produce a whole book in that time frame? That is pretty amazing to me. It’s a great technique for getting cutting edge information out in a timely manner and Troy Mott, the mastermind behind Bleeding Edge Press, is a fan of this technique. Here’s an interview with one of the authors:

When Troy asked if I’d be interested in designing the app that goes along with the book, I jumped at the chance. I was secretly worried about being 9 months pregnant but I just hoped we’d work quickly. We basically did a design sprint and wrapped up the app design in about 8 hours of work over the course of a week. It turned out great, too. The app will be in the iOS store soon and you’ll get to see screenshots of the design.
